Beveren, Belgium, 17 February 2026 – Belgian machinery manufacturer Texprofin developed a range of automated towel-folding machines using products from industrial automation specialist Inovance. The new machine offers the fastest towel folding speeds in the industry, at up to 1,500 pieces per hour, and Texprofin has praised Inovance for providing the products, support and expertise to help it achieve this goal. 

Inovance’s partnership with Texprofin is now extending to a feeding robot the company is developing to complement its portfolio of towel-folding machines. Not only is the state-of-the-art towel-folding machine faster than industry rivals, but it is also more flexible and can be used to fold towels, mixed linen, fitted sheets, incontinence pads, and more. Thanks to the servo drives, motors and other components provided by Inovance, the towel-folding machines are able to maintain a high level of performance without compromising cost for the end-user.

Inovance combines performance products with engineering expertise and support 

Texprofin selected Inovance as a partner for this particular project, not just due to its ability to provide industry-leading servo drives and motors, but also its expert engineering support. Inovance took a hands-on approach in supporting Texprofin with reviewing and optimising the electronic components of the towel-folders. Inovance is also providing guidance on the choice of drives, servo motors, and other components for the development of Texprofin’s new robot feeder. The Inovance products used in the towel-folders are: 

  • SV660 high performance AC servo drives
  • MD800 compact AC multidrives
  • SV680N single-axis servo drives
  • MS1H1 servo motors
  • A range of other peripheral Inovance products 

During the development of the towel-folder, Texprofin had to fine-tune the motion control of the servo motors to reach high-quality production levels and consistent folding patterns, as the use of servo motors within the industry is still relatively new. This was a complex process, but technical support from Inovance resulted in a faster, more versatile folder than any other on the market. It also enabled Texprofin to adopt a simpler machine design, reducing overall costs for end-users. Texprofin highlights the strong collaboration with Inovance’s engineers as an important factor in meeting deadlines and achieving its goals.
