Inovance has worked with CODESYS since 2015 & is now listed on the CODESYS website

Inovance is going all out for Europe and investing heavily across the continent – in January alone, we’ve opened a new office in Barcelona and employed three new staff in France. An important part of our European strategy is building relationships with key technical organisations and associations.

Inovance is going all out for Europe and investing heavily across the continent – in January alone, we’ve opened a new office in Barcelona and employed three new staff in France. An important part of our European strategy is building relationships with key technical organisations and associations. CODESYS® is one of the organisations we’ve worked with the longest, and we originally started our cooperation with them back in 2015 when an early generation of our AM600 motion controller first adopted it. Now we have been listed on the CODESYS INSIDE web page – and you can check it out here.

Our CODESYS-based controllers are the perfect match for our servo systems and remote I/Os. They offer a very high performance/cost ratio. And, being CODESYS-based is a big advantage for our customers because it means that – when using our InoProShop software – they do not need to learn a new programming environment from scratch, making migration as easy as it can be. Since 2015, we’ve expanded our use of CODESYS significantly. These days, our AC800 and AC700 series IPC, as well as our AM400 motion controller, also use CODESYS.

The AC800 and AC700 series IPC families deliver precision control for demanding industrial applications. They offer an IPC architecture powered by a high-performance CPU, dual EtherCAT ports (AC800), embedded remote commissioning and industrial IoT functions. The IPCs also offer advanced programming capabilities via CODESYS programming languages including ST, LD, SFC, and CFC, and Webvisu functionality. Our AC810 motion controller, part of the AC800 series, can control up to 256 axes.



Meanwhile, the AM600 & AM400 are high performance motion controllers with EtherCAT interface and PLC functionality. The products can be easily expanded to meet customer requirements, can control up to 32 axes (AM600), and offer a PLC open library for motion control functionality. Both controllers are programmed using InoProShop software based on IEC 61131-3 CODESYS programming languages. 



The listing on the CODESYS INSIDE web page reflects the increasingly close cooperation between Inovance and leading European industrial automation organisations and standards groups, and we view these cooperations as crucial for our company. Inovance Technology Europe is now growing strongly after several years of heavy investment. Our European office network includes Stuttgart (our European HQ), Milan, Bordeaux, and Barcelona. Other industrial bodies, organisations, and standards groups that we work with include: the EtherCAT Technology Group, CiA, the OPC Foundation, ZVEI, PI (PROFIBUS & PROFINET International), and OMAC PackML.
