India is witnessing a manufacturing revival, driven by its ambition to become a global production hub. At the heart of this shift is smart automation—blending robotics, AI/ML, IoT, digital twins, and cloud systems to enhance agility and precision. At Inovance Technology, we’re proud to support this transformation by equipping Indian OEMs with world-class automation and motion control solutions.

Mr. Anil Kumar, Managing Director, Inovance Technology India

Could you walk us through the automation solutions you've deployed and the value they’ve brought to your production line?

Inovance has implemented a wide range of automation solutions in India—from servo drives and PLCs to HMIs and complete motion control systems. Our EtherCAT-based servo drives have been particularly transformative for the packaging, textile, and electronics sectors, delivering microsecond-level communication and real-time feedback that enhances synchronisation and throughput.

For example, one of our recent projects involved a paint container filling line, where we integrated our motion controllers and high-performance servo systems. The result was a fully synchronised, high-speed packaging solution with improved fill accuracy, reduced waste, and significant downtime reduction. Our robotic portfolio, including SCARA and 6-axis robots, is being deployed in industries where precision assembly, pick-and-place, and repetitive tasks demand speed and consistency.

What are the key environmental and operational challenges Indian manufacturers face when implementing robotics and automation?

Indian manufacturing floors are incredibly diverse—from small workshops to large, automated plants. However, challenges such as unregulated ambient temperatures, voltage fluctuations, dust-prone environments, and non-uniform workforce skill levels make robotics integration more complex. Inovance addresses these hurdles by offering rugged, temperature-tolerant hardware, easy-to-program interfaces, and modular systems that allow phased automation. We also offer in-depth training and post-deployment support to ensure smooth transitions and minimal learning curves.

How are automation solutions being adapted for safe integration on Indian shopfloors?

Safety is a critical factor in any automation deployment. On Indian shopfloors, robotic and automated systems must operate without disrupting existing workflows or compromising operator well-being. Our solutions come with advanced safety protocols, including emergency stops, guarded zones, and fail-safe redundancies. Collaborative robots (cobots), designed to work safely alongside humans, are also becoming integral in industries like electronics and packaging. Inovance is actively developing cobot-integrated solutions that focus on safety, ease of use, and adaptability for Indian MSMEs and OEMs alike.

How is Inovance supporting the digital transformation of Indian manufacturing through its automation and motion control solutions?

Inovance’s automation solutions are aligned with the digital roadmap of Indian manufacturing. Our smart controllers and drives are IIoT-enabled, allowing seamless data integration, remote monitoring, and predictive maintenance. This digital connectivity not only improves uptime and efficiency but also allows manufacturers to make real-time decisions based on actionable insights. We are also actively integrating digital technologies to simulate and optimise production environments before actual deployment, helping customers reduce errors, downtime, and commissioning costs.

What industries in India are seeing the fastest adoption of Inovance solutions, and what are the key use cases?

We are seeing rapid adoption of Inovance solutions in sectors such as:

  • Packaging: for high-speed filling, sealing, and labelling with precise motion control.

  • Textiles: where yarn winding, knitting, and fabric cutting require coordinated servo control.

  • Food & Beverage: for robotic pick-and-place, sorting, and safe handling.

  • Electronics & Assembly: with SCARA robots and motion control enabling miniaturised, high-precision tasks.

With smart factories becoming the norm, how are your offerings aligned with Industry 4.0 requirements?

Our entire product ecosystem—from HMIs and PLCs to servo systems and robotic arms—is designed to support Industry 4.0. We provide scalable automation with real-time communication protocols like EtherCAT and Modbus, cloud-connectivity features, and integration-ready platforms for MES and ERP systems. We understand that every Indian manufacturer is on a unique digital journey. Our role is to offer flexible, future-proof solutions that can evolve alongside their needs.

Looking Ahead

India’s smart factories are no longer a distant vision—they’re here and growing fast. At Inovance, we remain committed to empowering manufacturers with solutions that not only improve operational efficiency but also build long-term resilience and global competitiveness.

By combining global innovation with local insight, we are helping Indian industries transform into intelligent, sustainable, and globally aligned production powerhouses.
